Research interests

  • Physics of active particle (self-propelled particles such as microrganisms) suspensions
  • Swimming microorganisms in complex environment
  • Diffusion in complex polymeric media
  • Dynamics and structure of concentrated colloidal suspensions (e.g. hard spheres, anisotropic magnetic colloid, ...)
  • Phase transitions, e.g. freezing transition, glass transition
  • New methods for high-throughput characterisation of the motility of microorganisms (e.g. bacteria, algae, spermatozoa)

Techniques: Light Scattering (SLS and DLS), X-ray scattering (SAXS and XPCS), Differential Dynamic Microscopy
